Why the essential oils from doTERRA are so great
doTERRA stands out from other suppliers of essential oils in many ways and is committed to important values at various levels:
- high quality
- best origin
- social commitment
High quality
DoTERRA oils are obtained in many very different countries. Some are just beginning to develop. The cooperation improves the situation of the local farmers and residents. But there are no uniform organic label standards for all countries there or worldwide. For this reason, doTERRA does not use an official organic label, but it fulfills or exceeds the organic label criteria.
CPTG quality inspection
To provide binding proof of this, doTERRA has all oils tested according to the CPTG standard (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® / Guaranteed Pure Therapeutic Quality). These comprehensive tests are carried out by an independent laboratory (Aromatic Plant).
Best origin
Global botanical network
doTERRA selects the origin of all oils with the greatest care. Although doTERRA - like all companies - ultimately acts economically, it is not simply an attempt to take over large areas, but the local, high-quality growers and distillers are integrated into the doTERRA network as partners at eye level. doTERRA calls this partnership "Global Botanical Network". Read more about this under this link.
Almost every essential oil from doTERRA comes from a different country, each geared entirely to the high quality criteria, e.g. Bulgaria (Rose), Oman, Somala, Ethiopia (Frankincense), Canada (Black Spruce), Ylang Ylang (Madagascar), etc.
You can find the details on the doTERRA website sourcetoyou.com/en
doTERRA selects the countries / cultivation regions according to various quality criteria and also raises fundamental questions (e.g. where are the best plants with the best effect? How can they be grown sustainably and produced gently on site? How can farmers be fairly compensated?) ,
Social commitment
Co-impact sourcing of innovations
doTERRA sources its over 100 oils from over 40 countries. In many of these countries, people live in difficult financial circumstances. doTERRA does not simply procure the high-quality oils from there, but has set itself the task of sustainably improving the living conditions of the local communities. This long-term project is called doTERRA co-impact procurement.
doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation
Cooperation with doTERRA improves the infrastructure of these locations and creates jobs. In addition, doTERRA founded the Healing Hands Foundation ™. Their goal is to help the rest of the local community to build schools, facilitate education and meet basic needs such as clean drinking water.
