When I was on holiday in France a few years ago in summer, there was a huge field of lavender right next to my hotel. Literally thousands of butterflies fluttered through the air and the buzzing of bees and wasps could not be overheard. In the evening, when we ate dinner outside in the hotel garden, the warm air blew again and again the delicate scent of the lavender to us. I still think of this wonderful scent experience today.
